Na deze masterclass is de deelnemer op de hoogte van de huidige inzichten omtrent de diagnostiek en behandeling van tendinopathieën in de onderste en bovenste extremiteit en kan op een adequate, evidence based wijze hulp bieden aan cliënten met een tendinopathie.
Het NPi organiseert geregeld zgn. 'masterclasses'. Onder een masterclass verstaan we: een scholingsactiviteit, gegeven door (inter-)nationaal gerenommeerde experts, die qua inhoud vernieuwend is voor paramedici die zich in een bepaalde richting hebben gespecialiseerd, en waarvoor een duidelijk omschreven ingangsniveau geldt. Deze masterclass richt zich specifiek op fysiotherapeuten die een opleiding sportfysiotherapie of manuele therapie volgen of hebben afgerond.
This is an evidence-based course that is based on extensive clinical experience in the assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation of upper and lower limb tendon pathologies.

Jo Gibson MSc is a Clinical Physiotherapy Specialist at the Liverpool Upper Limb Unit based at the Royal Liverpool Hospital, UK. She is an expert in shoulder rehabilitation and lectures both nationally and internationally about this rapidly developing specialty. Her research interests are shoulder instability and motor learning. She is the co-author of the GOST booklet, a Guide for Orthopaedic Surgeons and Therapists regarding operative and postoperative management of Upper Limb Patients.
Ebonie Rio, PhD is a physiotherapist and research fellow at La Trobe Sport and Exercise Medicine Research Centre at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia. Ebonie completed her PhD looking at tendon pain, how the CNS and motor control might change in individuals with tendinopathy.
