Annemarie van der Wal, PhD is an orofacial physiotherapist and manual therapist and obtained her PhD on tinnitus and temporomandibular dysfunction (TMD) at the University of Antwerp. She currently works as an orofacial physiotherapist and post-doctoral researcher at the Academic Center for Dentistry Amsterdam in the Orofacial Pain and Dysfunction department.She also works as a teacher at the Hogeschool Utrecht and in the master’s program.
This webinar consists of lectures by an expert, interspersed with interactive discussion and answering of questions.

During this webinar, the results of an orofacial treatment in patients with TMD related somatic tinnitus will be discussed, as researched in the thesis ‘Tinnitus and temporomandibular disorders. A study on the effectiveness of conservative temporomandibular treatment on tinnitus’. In addition, it will be discussed which patients are most likely to benefit from an orofacial treatment. The webinar will be concluded with a case study, to gain more insight into the treatment of a patient with TMD related somatic tinnitus.
